9th generation estate dates to 1735. Mostly Pineau d’Aunis w/balance of Pinot Noir & Cabernet Franc. from 50-90 yr old vines grown on limestone slopes. Med-bodied, floral, red fruit, spicy pepper, delish dry finish. Ooh, tannins. Organic.

Classic cab franc; leafy, forest-floor, pencil shavings, flowers, crushed stones. Medium-bodied, light tannins, satisfying all around.

75% Pineau d’Aunis, 20% Pinot Noir, 5% Gamay from 25 year old vines grown on flint. Stainless steel fermentation. Vibrant, juicy, chillable red with compelling notes of cinnamon and pink peppercorn. Biodynamic. 9th generation estate.

Jean-François Merieau practices organic farming and believes in a minimalist approach to winemaking. He produces mostly single varietal bottlings, often from single parcels in the inland Loire Valley AOC of Touraine. The cellar on his property is from the
