Domaine La Blaque, led since 1987 by husband and wife oenologists Gilles and Laurence Delsuc, is one of just a few growers in the high altitude AC of Coteaux de Pierrevert, which was created in 1998. The vineyards are situated at 500m in the hills north of Marseille and Aix en Provence.
It’s full of ripe, fleshy red fruits; the palate is broad and satisfying, and is balanced out by ruby-red grapefruit acidity. It’s a perfect pair for seafood, bouillabaisse, paella, garlic bread, grilled shrimp, etc.
