*not Madeira. This is fortified solera wine from the Azorean island of Pico. Ripe citrus, honey, & almonds; textured but soft, finishes with brisk acidity and saline. Aging in old oak casks throughout the life of the wine until the time of blending.

Dark, ripe, and juicy fruit are at the fore rather than the dry, floral, & marzipan qualities found in other brands within the category.
