We were in Wine Enthusiast as one of the Best Wine Shops in the U.S.; According to Pros! That's crazy talk, but we'll take it.
Time is short so we're getting right to it...with just a couple announcements: we are open until 10PM Fridays and Saturdays starting tonight; we hope we're not too old for this! And we have a couple of guest tasting events in the shop coming up: RI's Anchor & Hope on Friday, May 5th, and 12th generation Mosel producer Christina Thanisch on Wednesday, June 7th.
Wine Tasting in the Shop Tonight, 5-7PM

Melsheimer Rural Mosel Riesling Pet Nat 2019, $32.99

5th generation Mosel producer, biodynamic, from 60+ year old vines grown on steep slopes. This is a honeyed, leesy, floral, spicy, ethereally textured pet-nat. More info here on Melsheimer. Stay in one of their guesthouses, oooh!

Mas de Valériole Vé IGP Méditerranée Rosé 2022, $17.99

translates to "look at that!" which when poured translates to perfect rosé in your glass! It's a blend of 70% Caladoc (a crossing of Grenache and Malbec), 15% Merlot, and 15% Marselan (a crossing of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon from an organically-farmed estate in Camargue founded in 15th century, and purchased in the late 1950s by the Michel family. This is fresh, breezy, salty rosé with notes of red fruit and citrus. Close enough to Provence to do the trick. Read more about the producer here

Aoton Attiki Savatiano 2021. $19.99

5th generation, organic estate east of Athens. Savatiano is a white grape that has been cultivated here for almost 4,000 years. Aoton has 6 hectares of densely planted, low-yielding vines; in addition to Savatiano they also grow Roditis, Mandalaria, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes for this wine were harvested at night, then left on the skins for 5 days, wild-yeast fermented, and followed by 10 months on lees. This is a compelling wine; the texture is lush but mineral-driven, evocative of the iron-rich clay the vines are planted on. Green vegetal notes (but not underripe) lead to lemon curd, marzipan,'s just full of umami. More on Aoton here

Ovum EZY TGR Oregon Red 2021, $21.00

Organic, own-rooted, 40 year old cab & 5% field blend. Cherry, pomegranate, hints of green herbs, granitic minerals on finish.

Founded in 2011 by husband-and-wife duo John House and Ksenija Kostic, who worked together for years at Chehalem, learning the ins and outs of Willamette Valley wine. Ovum started as “a celebration of the diverse expressions of Oregon Riesling.” John and Ksenija source fruit from philosophically aligned farmers throughout the state; they’ve found sites with “blustery Pacific winds, extreme diurnal shifts, and rocky, well-draining soils.”

To best express the vineyards, all of Ovum’s wines are treated the same way in the cellar: natural fermentations, no additions or subtractions except for SO2, extended lees contact of 8-9 months – all in neutral barrels of acacia and oak, as well as Nomblot concrete eggs. More on Ovum

We offer statewide delivery Tuesday through Saturday with a $75 minimum order; Providence and immediate surrounding areas can be same day depending on time received; next day delivery for all other areas. We do not *next day* deliver to points south of East Greenwich or north/west of Smithfield & Johnston on Fridays or Saturdays; exceptions can be made for events planned in advance.
We're carrying (when available) facevessel glasses and (sometimes) carafes. This unique & very limited glassware is handblown in Rhode Island by Neal Drobnis, and locally represented by Degen. It's like our very own local version of Supreme! We sold through the last drop, we're halfway through the new one.

Stock is never guaranteed...just the way we like it!

We're in Wine Enthusiast ! Twice!

It's a really great article on natural wine shops and we never won't be excited to be included in it.

Join our Monthly Wine Club!

We have two tiers, $50 and $100.

$50 club features two curated wines per month.

$100 club includes three to four selections per month.

Each tier will come with producer notes, pairing suggestions, and/or recipes.

Members receive a 10% discount on regularly priced wines, regardless of whether or not the wines are part of a club pack. This discount does not apply to sale items, blue-tag wines, or boxes/cans/alternative packaging and cannot be added to any other discount or promotion. The discount is good on wine only, and is active for the duration of the club membership.  As of now it can only be used in-store or over the phone; it will not work online. Twelve bottle case discount remains 12%.

Price includes delivery within RI, which will be scheduled the second week of each month, Tuesday through Saturday, depending upon location. In-store pick-up is also an option.
