Late picked Assyrtiko from Megalochori, 12 hours on skins. Rich, powerful, but fresh. Aged one year in old French oak; sweet, honeyed, ripe. 15% abv but holds it well. Age-worthy. Pair w/grilled meat, cheese plates.
70% Picotendro (local Nebbiolo clone), 30% Gros Vien, Neyret, Cornalin and Fumin. Spicy, cherry, dusty, delicious. Small Valle d'Aosta cooperative, high-elevation, all work done by hand.
Fumin & Petit Rouge fermented in stainless & wood, followed by 8 months in oak. Raspberry, almonds, roses, cloves on the nose; iron, bramble, oily herbs, rustic yet elegant. Balanced, touch of grip, will cut thru fat or pair w/beans & tomatoes, salads.
