Domaine Manciat-Poncet is the result of the merger of two family-owned estates: the Manciats (Claude) in Charnay-lès-Mâcon and the Poncet family (Simone) in Vergisson, in the appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé. The vines, Chardonnay and a tiny bit of Gamay, are all between 40 and 60 years old. Claude and Simone’s daughter Marie Pierre Manciat has run the 12 hectare domaine since 2003.
This Pouilly Fuisse is 100% Chardonnay from some of the steepest vineyards in the village of Vergisson, from vines over 50 years old planted on chalky limestone and clay.
