Product description

Importer's notes:

Blend: A Fleurie blend of Les Roches and Les Garants climats (see below).
Vine Age: 50% of the blend is composed of wines from young vines (3 and 5 years old) in conversion to organic farming. These juices bring fruit and sparkle to the cuvée. The rest, being older vines, provide substance and structure.
Vinification: 12-day maceration of whole bunches, carried out in 60 Hl concrete vats. Temperatures maintained below 30 ° C. Daily reassembly for gentle extraction.
Aging: 7 months in concrete vats.

Fleurie - Les Roches
East of the Moriers, and facing east. Several plots restructured in conversion to organic farming.
Soil: very poor soil of shallow granite sand on the plots of the plateau. Lower, deeper soil and richer in grass to limit the vigor of the vines.
Location: 1.8 ha on the plateau and at the top of the slope. And 1 ha against the bottom.
Orientation: East from 260 to 330 m above sea level.
Vineyard management: High density gobelets at the bottom. Cordons 1 m and 2 m at the top.
Age of vines: from 3 to 50 years old.

Fleurie - Les Garants
The archetype of the Fleurie terroirs.
Soil: very poor soils of shallow granitic sand - granitic parent rock and pure quartz on the top.
Location: 4 plots located on the same hill overlooking the Madonna and the Village. 40 ares at the foot, 75 ares on the hillside and 20 ares on the plateau.
Orientation: South-South-West from 290 to 330 m altitude.
Vineyard management: Mostly cups planted at high density (10,000 vines / hectare).
Age of vines: 25 to 60 years old
