Diane and Philippe Cauvin took over this 13 hectare family domain in 2005, and have worked tirelessly to increase the quality of the vineyards, to reduce yields, and to work in a natural direction, all a rarity in this large-production area of southwest France. They are certified organic, but have been working biodynamically since 2010. Most of their plantings are of the local variety Négrette, but they also grow Gamay, Malbec, Syrah, and a once-lost white grape called Bouysselet. All of the wines come from 15-55 year old vines (except the bouysselet, which started with two 200-year old vines) and ferment in cement or stainless with no additions other than a touch of SO2 at bottling.
