The Vrai Caillou estate has been in the Pommier family since 1863, passed down first from father to son and then from father to daughter. It currently covers 90 hectares of vineyards with 65 ha of red grape vines (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc) and 25 ha of white grape vines (Sauvignon and Semillon). Christel and Philippe de Meillac have been in charge of the estate since 2012 and have been given HEV "High Environmental Value" certification by the Ministry of Agriculture for their efforts in protecting biodiversity.
